CAT5E Booted Patch Cords

Enhanced Category 5 (CAT5e) cabling is designed to support extremely fast Ethernet operation over distances up to 100 meters (328 feet).  These cables have a protective sleeve over the plug  known as a "Boot."  This boot prevents cable snags and protects the plug's locking hook from damage.

CAT5E Non-Booted Patch Cords

Enhanced Category 5 (CAT5e) cabling is designed to support extremely fast Ethernet operation over distances up to 100 meters (328 feet).  These non-booted cable assemblies are less expensive and easier to remove than booted cords.

CAT6 Booted Patch Cords

Category 6 (CAT6) cable provides higher performance than CAT5e and features more stringent specifications for crosstalk and system noise.  These cables have a protective sleeve over the plug  known as a "Boot."  This boot prevents cable snags and protects the plug's locking hook from damage.
