Built-in pass-thru IR control allows you to manage source device and RS232 for the display. Twisted pair extenders allow long distance distribution of IR, RS232 serial, audio & video using inexpensive CAT6 cables.

Tech Note: Standard pre-made patch cords (stranded conductors) shouldn’t be used for these products. Use solid conductor CAT5E/CAT6 bulk cable throughout installation run, correctly terminated with RJ45 connectors (T568B). Avoid breaking cabling up by going thru CAT5E/CAT6 wall plate jacks and panels.

AV over CAT5E/CAT6 extenders in general are designed and tested to work directly from the original Source device (laptop, BlueRay DVD, cable/satellite box, etc.) to the Display/HDTV. Although success can be experienced, signal performance, compatibility, and endurance over time can't be guaranteed when combined with AV receivers/signal processors, switches or splitters/amplifiers between the original Source and Display.
