VGA OVER CAT5E/CAT6 PASSIVE DECORA WALL PLATE SET - PART# 90-12118

Extends video signal up to 100 meters (330ft) using the CAT5/RJ45 cable. This extender kit provides equalization and shielded RJ45 port connection. Supports maximum resolution of 1600x1200 @ 60Hz for up to 50meters & 1024x768 @ 60Hz for up to 100meters. Includes transmitter & receiver, white decora-style wall plates and mounting screws. Required Cables: Solid CAT5e/6 Cables. No power adapter needed.

Tech Note: Standard pre-made patch cords (stranded conductors) shouldn’t be used for these products. Use solid conductor CAT5E/CAT6 bulk cable throughout installation run, correctly terminated with RJ45 connectors (T568B). Avoid breaking cabling up by going thru CAT5E/CAT6 wall plate jacks and panels.

AV over CAT5E/CAT6 extenders in general are designed and tested to work directly from the original Source device (laptop, BlueRay DVD, cable/satellite box, etc.) to the Display/HDTV. Although success can be experienced, signal performance, compatibility, and endurance over time can't be guaranteed when combined with AV receivers/signal processors, switches or splitters/amplifiers between the original Source and Display.
