VGA 3.5mm AUDIO CAT5E/CAT6 1x4 SPLITTER AND 2-PORT EXPANDABLE RECEIVER KIT - PART# 90-12114

This extender kit sends VGA video and audio using a single CAT5e cable. The transmitter module has built-in 4-Port RJ45 D/A with loop-out for local screen and speaker. Receiver module has dual-output VGA/Audio that allows you to connect two-sets of screens and speakers, it has gain and EQ control for optimal picture, and extra RJ45 port for daisy-chainability up to 3 levels. Supports resolution up to 1600x1200 @ 60Hz up to 100 meters, 1280x1024 @ 60Hz at 120 meters, 1024x768 @ 60Hz at 180 meters, 800x600 @ 60Hz at 200 meters and 640x480 @ 60Hz at 300 meters. Includes wall-mounted transmitter & receiver, and universal power adaptors. (Connectors: HD15/3.5mm/RJ-45)

Tech Note: Standard pre-made patch cords (stranded conductors) shouldn’t be used for these products. Use solid conductor CAT5E/CAT6 bulk cable throughout installation run, correctly terminated with RJ45 connectors (T568B). Avoid breaking cabling up by going thru CAT5E/CAT6 wall plate jacks and panels.

AV over CAT5E/CAT6 extenders in general are designed and tested to work directly from the original Source device (laptop, BlueRay DVD, cable/satellite box, etc.) to the Display/HDTV. Although success can be experienced, signal performance, compatibility, and endurance over time can't be guaranteed when combined with AV receivers/signal processors, switches or splitters/amplifiers between the original Source and Display.

Having surge protection on both the source and display side (transmitter and receiver) is highly recommended.
